Jennifer Aniston reveals that she considers herself a poor auditioner. Despite her success in popular films and TV shows like ‘Friends’ and ‘We’re the Millers’, the 55-year-old actress struggles to establish immediate chemistry with strangers during auditions. During The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Drama Actress Roundtable’ discussion with other actresses like Nicole Kidman and Jodie Foster, Jennifer expressed her discomfort with the pressure to create chemistry on the spot. She recalled her earlier days of waitressing and revealed that she landed her first role in a Bob’s Big Boy commercial after facing numerous auditions.
The conversation took a turn when Anne Hathaway’s experience of being asked to kiss ten men during a chemistry test was brought up. While Nicole Kidman joked about the excitement of such situations, Jennifer strongly opposed the idea and stated that she would never participate in such auditions. She explained that it would be incredibly uncomfortable for nervous auditioners to be asked to get intimate with a stranger on the spot. Jennifer emphasized that she believes chemistry should naturally develop between actors and not be forced in auditions.
