According to former NBA player Paul Pierce, LeBron James might still have some Team USA appearances left in him. Despite being 39 years old next summer, Pierce believes that James will play for his country once again. During an episode of the Ticket The Truth podcast, Pierce expressed his confidence in James and even predicted that the forthcoming Olympics would be his final one. Pierce also mentioned that he expects fellow basketball star Steph Curry to participate in the Olympics, emphasizing that it’s a must for him to go.
Back in 2012, James last played for Team USA during the London Olympics, which was his third time representing his country. He also played in one World Cup in 2006 and one FIBA Americas Championship in 2007. Throughout his career with Team USA, he has a solid average of 13.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 17.2 EFF in 43 appearances in FIBA competitions. During the 2022-23 season, his performance with the Lakers was impressive with an average of 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game in 55 contests.
